Johnson says the fraternity instilled in him and his frat brothers principles they honor daily. Building thousands of Black men, building them up to be better men, that's our 100-year contribution," Johnson said. "Our chapter is the oldest chapter in the Carolinas. Johnson says this brotherhood is what's helped him succeed in the business world. Johnson pledged Alpha Phi Alpha back in 1992 while attending JCSU. "I wouldn't be the man I am today without that experience," Johnson said. Johnson credits his brotherhood, Alpha Omicron, for helping him flourish. "We've always been about developing our community by way of our business." We give back to the community, career fairs, all those things," Johnson said. His company is well known for supporting its neighbors in the communities they serve, especially entrepreneurs. "I still enjoy the art of cutting hair, but my main focus is growing the business," Johnson said. The New York native and his brother launched the barbershop in 1997 to meet the grooming and community needs of those across the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area.
